The foundation of great singing is great breathing.

In the studio we first learn to breathe in a way that is supportive of all styles of singing, speaking, and sound making. We then map sounds onto breath in a way that makes sense to the student's body -- always being certain that the student is cued in to the sensations that they are experiencing.

A voice teacher can play a pivotal role in a singer’s life and career — as a mentor, a coach, and a guide. I have been gifted with teachers who have guided me and taught me beautiful lessons, and I take my responsibility in this role seriously.

My teaching style is supportive, breath-based, and most of all focused on helping each singer find their own individual voice. I believe a solid, fundamental technique matched with a deep understanding of one’s own sensational map of sound-body connection will allow one to create full and beautiful sounds in any style!
